FAYETTE CO. | Schools honor counselors during national celebration | News

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Schools around Fayette County will be celebrating National School Counseling Week from February 6-10; the week is being sponsored by the American School Counseling Association. 

During the week, schools will hold different events to highlight the impact school counselors have on the lives of their students. 

"We are pleased and thankful for the efforts that our counselors make everyday. They are a vital support to our educational program here in Fayette," says Barbara Serapion, director of pupil personnel services.

The Fayette County School System employs 61 school counselors at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
