Fayetteville plans to build "largest film studio" in Georgia | News
FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Plans to build a new movie studio in metro Atlanta are underway and it could mean more business and more opportunities for Georgians.
Georgia has become home to many hot, box office hits over the last couple of years. And with production on the rise, in the area, Fayette County has plans to build the largest film complex in the state.
Matt Forshee of the Fayette County Development Authority thinks, "It'll be great for Fayette County and Fayetteville just because it's another industry. It's getting us into the film business."
The facility is slated to be located just off of Highway 85 on nearly 300 acres of land. Forshee cites its convenient location to the airport and Downtown as attractive features.
It's expected to open in Spring 2014.
