Suspect wanted for robbing QuikTrip | Crime

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Fayette County Sheriff's investigators are looking for a man suspected of robbing a convenience store earlier this week.

The robbery happened at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the QuikTrip at 1846 Highway 85 north in Fayetteville.

Fayette County Sheriff's Det. Josh Shelton said the suspect pointed a pistol at the QuikTrip clerk and demanded cash from the register. After taking the money, he drove away in a small black passenger car.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect. Shelton described him as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 210 pounds, with a grey beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt, a black jacket and blue jeans.
