Fayetteville Police Looking for Foot Locker Thieves Caught On Video

FAYETTEVILLE, GA -- (fayettedailynews.com) Fayetteville Police are searching for three suspects who burglarized the Fayetteville Foot Locker store early Thursday morning.

While police haven’t caught the trio, surveillance cameras did. Det. Mike Whitlow said that around 4 a.m. Thursday morning, a silver vehicle, possibly a newer model crossover, backed up to the front door of the store.

Three males exited the vehicle and smashed Foot Locker’s front door using a tool similar to the Halligan tool fire departments use, Whitlow said.

The men entered the store and began throwing boxes of shoes and packages of socks into the rear of the vehicle. The men made off with an indeterminate amount of socks and shoes, including children’s shoes, he noted.

Whitlow said the police are hopeful that someone will view the video and recognize the men or the vehicle. He said one of the men is wearing a distinctive letter-type jacket that should be easily recognizable.

Anyone with information can call Whitlow at 770-719-4222.
